Mendelson's Electronics Surplus AKA Mendelson Liquidation Outlet |
In August of 2020 after 55 years in business, Sandy Mendelson decided to close up the building and sell everything off. This place was floor after floor of surplus electronics, commercial equipment, tools, etc., etc., etc. Mendelson’s was said to be the first place to look for every last thing. I often wondered how they filled a half million square feet. They did this by buying product overruns, excess inventory, product returns, seconds, and liquidated business assets from all over the world. It wasn't whether or not they had what I needed, but rather if I could find it. Over the years, I did get a whole lot of weird stuff from that place. Mendelson’s was founded in 1960 by Harry Mendelson as an electronics surplus store and grew into a liquidation outlet where they offered a diverse range of ... stuff. But sadly, in late August 2020, they got rid of endless truck-fulls of stuff. The last time I was there was in June 2020. My wife still brings up the car full of stuff I dragged home.
